Sunday Nights

I don't know why, but I hate Sunday nights.  I think it all began back in college, maybe in high school.   I love Sunday mornings and going to church (I really do), watching football in the afternoon, and hanging out with the family, something in me starts to change once it's dusk.  I get in a funk and can't shake it till I wake up Monday morning.

I've got the Sunday night blues.....so bring on the morning or chocolate or better yet a glass of wine!

Oh Happy Day!

Today is a special day - 6 years ago Michael was born.  I remember distinctly we thought he was a she - my doctor even wore a pink tie.  What a surprise when out they pulled out this "little" boy - well he was our littlest weighing in at only 10 lbs 13 oz.  God does a sense of humor and knows exactly what He is doing.

The girl I thought I was getting, has turned out to be one of of the best blessings in my life.  Michael makes our family of 3 boys complete even with  all his craziness.

Things I love about my Michael Dog:
1.  His expressions - he always says things with a look
2.  His yellow blankie
3.  The way he looks up to his big brothers
4.  He loves Georgia ( much to our despise)  and Clemson
5.  He watches TV in Tim's den.
6.  His laugh - it's contagious
7.  He asks us to read to him at night.

Meeting big brothers for first time!
One of my favorite pictures of all time.

Proud Daddy!

All 3 of my boys - notice either pacie or thumb in each mouth!

Play Ball!

Let's go Big Red!

That is what we have been saying for the past 3 weeks. In the District tournament, Upper State Tournament, and in this State Tournament.   And now we are 2 games away from being the State Champions!
Go Big Red!

UPDATE:
The Big Red Machine ended it's season against Irmo in the semi-finals.  It was a good run and we all had a Ball..
We are so proud of our boys, coaches, and parents.

Guppy Fairy

A  special tradition happened the other night ---- you have the Tooth Fairy, but in our house there is a Guppy Fairy.  As part of the Gower Swim Team tradition, the youngest swimmers are visited by the Guppy Fairy.  Imagine Santa in June... who delivers goodies to the doorsteps of the anxiously waiting Guppies (5-6 year olds who can "swim" across the pool with the help of an older swim team member).  They are the future of the 300+ big swim team.

Oh what a night....

Happy Birthday to Me!

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday!  Woo Hoo!
  • My wonderful husband and dear friends threw me a Surprise Party to beat all surprise parties!  Oh what a night!!!
A few of my favorite gals!

  •  I was treated to a  fancy dinner with 4 of the handsomest men in the world (Jackson, Reed, Michael, and Tim). The boys looked so cute dressed to the nine's in coats and ties.

  •  I also got a tummy tuck!  Big fat say what????
I need to back up 11 years to the birth of my 11lb 14 oz first son,
followed by his brother weighing in at 11 lb 9 oz, then wrapping up with my lightest son at 10lbs 14oz.  My stomach was stretched beyond what is normal.  These big babies are my pride and joy, and I wouldn't change a single thing about how they came in my life.
My justification was that I had to have surgery to have my children "removed" from me via c-section. This procedure would be final stage of my pregnancies.  I just wished the doctors could have slimmed me up while I was in for my c-sections.  It was a tough decision for many factors - one being the expense.  However, it was one of the best choices I've ever made, AND I'd do all over again!

The More I See ..... The More I Like

My Boys and Me

What am I doing?  Why do I think I have time for this?  With 3 active and growing boys, I find myself writing this, and.... enjoying it.
We'll see how it goes and one day I'll let you in on the secret behind this picture.
